Creative Mission
Crochet Meets Sensationalism
Fortuneknot Designs are made with sensory-issues in mind. Nothing is uncomfortable, everything is beautiful, and you can love everything you own.

Works of Art
My Tapestry Cardigans are commission only. Each one is made to order to create a totally unique and totally “you” design that will be sure to blow a few minds.

Ease of Accessibility
I believe that patterns should be easily accessible and free when possible. I also believe that amazing designs can be made without using lace weight yarn and a tiny hook that may be hard for most of us with disabilities to manage and suffer through

Objects of Comfort
Each design is made with sensory issues in mind so that each piece is comfortable and completely cozy. You should never suffer for fashion or for beauty.

Commission Process
Contact and Consultation
Contact me via email or on my social media to inquire about a design you are wanting made and the type of fiber you desire it to be. Prices are non-negotiable and are priced based on materials + labor costs. I do not charge hourly to make it more fair to my clients while still paying myself what I am worth.
Finances and Payment
Payment is done in two parts: half up front to cover materials and part of the labor, the other half upon completion. This protects me as the designer so if someone backs out, I am not left high and dry.
Completion and Shipping
You will receive photo updates of your piece as it comes along and images of the finished product and proof of shipping. Care instructions are included with every order so your piece can last a lifetime.

Frequently Asked
Questions
What crochet terms do you use?
All crochet terms I use here and in my PDF patterns will be US terms and will be stated as such in each pattern.
How do I get a custom commission from you?
Reach out to me directly through email or Instagram and I would be more than happy to work something out with you!
What fibers do you use?
For my commissions I use anything the client wants. If you want a 100% wool cardigan or sweater, I will make it happen. If you want to opt for a less expensive but still plush and warm option, I can use full synthetic Acrylic fibers. I prefer Acrylic but I can and will use whatever you want for your piece.
How much do your crochet “paintings” cost?
It depends on the painting and the amount of detail involved. If you have a piece in mind, please reach out to me for a consultation where we will discuss pricing. Or visit my Fine Art Crochet page.
What kind of paintings will you do?
I prefer to do impressionism mostly, but I will do some Baroque pieces here and there. It really depends on the amount of detail involved. I can do pieces by Monet, Degas, Van Gogh, Renoir, Munch, and a few here and there with more detail like The Creation of Adam and The Girl with the Pearl Earring.
How long does it take to make a crochet art cardigan?
That depends on the complexity of the design and my own physical health, to be honest. I do have chronic conditions that make life a little more difficult than most, but I can typically get a fine art cardigan done in approximately 5-8 weeks.
