Hey everyone! My name is Amanda, founder of Fortuneknot Designs. I have known how to crochet since I was about 7 or 8 years old but didn’t get good at it until about 2020 or 2021. Too much time on our hands from the Pandemic, you know how it goes.
I specialize in cardigans and specifically in recreating famous artworks. That’s my real passion.

My Inspiration comes primarily from classical paintings. Especially those from the artists Van Gogh, Degas, and Monet. I end up just looking at these masterpieces and going, “I bet I could crochet that”. I love crocheting literal pieces of art that you can wear and be proud of. I want to create patterns and pieces that make people go “Whoa!” and stops them in their tracks.

Part of my mission here at Fortuneknot Designs is not just to make wearable pieces of art, but to make and design clothing that is sensory-friendly to those of us with sensory issues.
