Fine Art Crochet
What it is
As you may know, I crochet Famous, public domain paintings and turn them into cardigans and sweaters. This process is a pretty demanding one, as I use a minimum of 20 different colors of yarn and crochet it all, row by row, until it is complete, over the course of several weeks. I hand-select buttons that match the theme of the cardigan and even add cute additional touches if desired (within reason), like pockets and elbow patches.
Because of the amount of detail in a great number of these paintings, the finished product can be a bit large. I myself wear a medium-large and it is a bit roomy and cozy on me. I have always preferred slightly oversized jackets and cardigans, and I hope you do as well. I can make them slightly smaller if desired, but this is something that we can discuss during your consultation.
Pricing
The cost of one of these Fine Art Cardigans will vary, depending on complexity of the pattern, how many colors need to be used, and any embroidery that may need to be done to bring out more detail within the work. On average, you could expect to spend anywhere from $500-1200 or more, depending on the painting you want recreated in crochet.
Time Frame
These are handmade pieces that take 5-8 weeks to complete. Updates on your piece will be provided at various stages of completion until I ship it off to you.
Shipping
Shipping costs will be covered by you and will be included in your final price, and I can ship internationally. You will, of course, be provided a tracking number for your package once it is shipped.
